Peace of mind all round – DEHN presents 360° protection solutions at Light + Building 2026

The megatrends of our time act as a catalyst for advancing global electrification: from the expansion of renewable energies and the modernisation of buildings to a growing demand for data centres, which require increasingly powerful infrastructure. Protection concepts that consider lightning and surge protection alongside occupational safety are essential for seamless operation. At Light + Building 2026 in Frankfurt, DEHN will present a 360° approach that combines holistic solutions in the form of consulting, planning, engineering services and bespoke analogue and digital products. From 8 to 13 March 2026, visitors to the exhibition can discover their ideal protection solution at booth B90 in hall 12.0.Protect. Connect. Inspire. DEHN's credo at this year's Light + Building, the world's leading trade fair for lighting and building technology. The expert for lightning and surge protection and safety equipment has incorporated the 360° approach into the concept of its exhibition stand, demonstrating how comprehensive protection concepts can be applied on an individual basis. Beside product highlights, engineering services and software solutions, the TechTalks staged directly at the booth offer visitors a variety of short presentations, best practice insights and expert panel discussions on the latest industry topics:New provisions in the IEC 62305 / EN 62305 Edition 3 standard and practical solutions from DEHN for their implementation. The use of AI and chatbots in electrical engineering. DEHN will also be showcasing product highlights such as the DEHNventil ACI, a pre-wired, compact combined arrester for maximum protection even without a backup fuse, which makes ACI (Advanced Circuit Interruption) technology available for the first time in the Type 1 arrester class. Another innovative solution is the DEHNguard MD, a further development in surge protection that combines safety with maximum flexibility during installation. The new double screw connection allows wiring of conductors of different types – both for stub wiring and feed-through wiring. Also on display at the booth: simple solutions for the standard-compliant retrofitting of earthing systems in existing buildings, as well as HVI light plus, a high-voltage-resistant, insulated down-conductor system that requires no connection to the equipotential bonding. The TechTalks offer industry insiders insights into the work of experts, network and surge protection for a smart world, and the protection of fire alarm systems. For the first time, the company will also be presenting a DEHN Workspace in the outdoor area of the trade fair (F11.A02), where visitors can test tools and products for themselves and deepen their practical knowledge of topics such as earthing and safety equipment. One major highlight will be the Lightning Protection Theme Day on 12 March 2026, geared towards lightning protection installers, planning engineers and specialists. Trends, standards and efficient solutions will be explored in presentations, workshops and dialogue formats. The interactive 360° world at the DEHN trade fair boothDEHN's trade fair stand concept will also guide visitors through interactive stations where they can immerse themselves in product worlds and live demonstrations, including a virtual reality experience. The meetDEHN app is a central tool for planning your visit to the trade fair. It allows interested parties to book workshops and presentations by DEHN experts and create a personalised agenda. The app provides continual updates during and after the trade fair. Further information can be found on the landing page for the trade fair. Our protection solutions at Light + Building 2026 | DEHN

More capacity for the megatrends of our time: DEHN opens new main plant in Mühlhausen

After a construction phase of around two years, DEHN is opening its new and ultra-modern main plant in Mühlhausen. At over 50 million euros, the building represents the largest single investment in the company's 114-year history. The capacity expansion was urgently needed to meet the rapidly increasing global demand for DEHN products. The investment decision at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic is not only a forward-looking milestone in the continuation of DEHN's success story, but also a clear and long-term commitment to the Neumarkt region."Global megatrends such as renewable energies, electric mobility and digitalisation are key drivers of growth in recent years," says Dr Philipp Dehn, Chairman of the Board of DEHN SE. "Energy and data networks of the future can only function reliably with appropriate protection solutions. DEHN offers these solutions. Demand for our products therefore remains high and we see exciting global market opportunities in the future. The new and innovative plant in Mühlhausen will make a significant contribution in this respect." The new site is not only a sign of the company's strong growth and innovative strength, but also of its sense of responsibility towards its employees, the environment and the region. The new building fulfils the high requirements of the KfW40 standard, making it one of the most modern and sustainable industrial buildings in Bavaria. The ecological highlights include the use of district heating, building heating and cooling by means of concrete core activation, a 3,400 m² green roof and photovoltaic systems with an output of approx. 1,250 kWp. This means that DEHN produces around 60% of the energy required there itself. The new site also offers optimum conditions for the approximately 600 DEHN employees who work at state-of-the-art, ergonomic and height-adjustable (production) workstations. This also applies to the group of "inclusive workplace" jobs for people with disabilities, who are integrated directly into the production process and thus into the core workforce in close cooperation with Lebenshilfe Neumarkt. "In Mühlhausen, we combine the latest advances in ergonomics with manufacturing innovation and use the opportunities provided by digitalisation to optimally integrate the workstations into the production process", explains Christian Köstler, COO of DEHN SE. "For us, this means that workstations can be set up ergonomically and individually and are meaningfully supported by digital processes. Materials are supplied by automated guided vehicles (AGVs), which in turn ensure a smooth production process." The new production facility is an extension of the existing logistics centre that DEHN opened in Mühlhausen back in 2014. The main plant covers a large part of the production volume, which is delivered from Mühlhausen all over the world.
