Creating arc fault protection concepts with competence
The DEHNshort arc fault protection system provides reliable protection. For low-voltage switchgear assemblies up to 690 V with a short-current withstand capacity of up to 110 kA.
Why is arc fault protection so important? It is difficult to get this theme across to the customer properly. We are here to support you with technical background information, argumentation aids, seminars and newsletters.

Info on standards
The following international standards and technical specifications for low voltage applications are currently in preparation or have already been published:
- Arc Quenching Devices
The IEC 60947-9-1:2019 standard has been in force since its publication in January 2019. Local versions may apply.
- Optical-based internal arc-detection and mitigation device
The current status of the IEC 60947-9-2 standard is CDV (Committee Draft for Vote). This means that the draft has been submitted to the national committees for voting, technical changes may only be made if there are weighty reasons for them.
- Integration internal arc-fault mitigation systems in power switchgear and controlgear assemblies (PSC - Assemblies) according to IEC 61439-2
The technical specification IEC TS 63107 has been in force since its publication in May 2020. Local versions may apply.
