Angled Air-Termination Tips

For protecting, e.g. free field photovoltaic systems or carports with a PV system against direct lightning strikes.

The air-termination tip is fixed e.g. on the metal substructure of the PV modules by means of two seam clamps, which also provide a lightning current carrying contact.
When mounted to the substructure, a distance of 15-20 cm between the saddle clamps a the free length of 80-85 cm should be ensured. The air-termination tips are dimensioned according to Eurocode 1 (DIN EN 1991-1-4 + DIN EN 1991-1-4/NA).

When properly mounted, mechanical stability and a lightning current carrying capability of 100 kA (10/350 µs) is ensured.

The air-termination tip is adjustable to the inclination angle of the PV system. The standard type is 55° angled which corresponds to an inclination angle of the PV system of 35°.

Air-termination tip with two seam clamps (Part No. 365 031)

Clamping range of the seam clamps 0.7-8 mm.
